Photography is not just my career
… it’s part of who I am. Since I saw Alfred Eisenstadt’s photo ‘The Dragon is Slain’ in a 1960's issue of LIFE magazine in an antique store, I have known that capturing moments, and even better – emotions – was for me. My career began in newspapers in 1998 and now it continues with editorial, marketing, event coverage, corporate, business and portrait work throughout Boston.
My goal is always to capture the essence of the people in front of me, the people who have trusted me to spend time with them and document their life, even if only for a brief moment of it.
This is a privilege that is not lost on me.
About my post-session editing. I like humans. Most of them. What I mean is, I like humans as they are. Because of this, my “correcting” of humans is minimal in my post-processing. I do not believe we need correcting. I’ll remove a zit or two, I will soften skin only slightly. Otherwise, bring on the laugh lines and beauty marks! They are what make you you, and I embrace it. I hope you do too. Life iso too short to compare ourselves to unrealistic, and highly filtered, cinched, smoothed and AI-enhanced celebrities!
I am available for
• portraits; newborns, children, seniors, families, maternity.
• events; from corporate gatherings and business marketing to 50th anniversaries, and ninetieth birthdays.
Please get in touch by emailing me at cydneyscott@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
